Events During the Year
Sigma Alpha is a social club, meaning we like to be a little, you know, social! So no matter your personality, we have an event for you. These events are for the members of the club and are benefits of becoming part of our sisterhood. From Miley Cyrus costumes at Trick-or-Treat to elegant formal dresses at Formal, Sigma Alpha holds fun-filled events throughout the year with opportunities to hang out, laugh with, and grow with other girls. Moments when we get to all hang out together are some of the best! Below are some of the big events that we look forward to each year!
Intramurals
Feeling a little athletic? Play sports in high school? Or just want to have fun? Intermurals are the best way to embrace your competitive side while still having tons of fun! Intermurals are campus wide and many different teams get involved. We love to participate with everyone
Member Retreat
Member Retreat is a time to just get away from life and head out of town for the weekend and just hangout with one another. It's completely voluntary but everyone wants to go because it's just a great time for fellowship and laughs. This last year, we went to one of our member's houses and played board games and roastewd marshmallows laughing the night away.
Trick-or-Treat
Trick-or-Treat is our halloween date function, which means you ask a date! It's an awesome time to dress up with a guy, eat some food, and play some games. Last year, we had a Harry Potter themed night being sorted into our Hogwart's houses and ending the night playing Quidditch!
Crush
CRUSH is an event in the spring where dates are invited. The theme for this event is different every year. Last year, we were ready to Rock n Roll and playing Rock Band.
Formal
Formal is one of the most anticipated events all year long! Each year, it's held in a new town, and is full of new adventures. Formal is a time to get away for the weekend and bring a date along for the ride. Last year, we put on our best black, gold, or glitter dresses and headed to Fort Worth for a classy evening.
Senior Ceremony
To round up each school year and to show the seniors how much they have meant to the club and how much they are loved, we hold a ceremony to have one last time of fellowship as a club before the seniors graduate. It's an amazing time to love on one another and laugh with each other and cry a lot amongst everyone. It's a time to dwell on the past and share excitement for the future.
